Your Bill Explained
Your bill is generally calculated based on meter readings. The change in your meter reading since your last bill determines the consumption to be charged. A tariff is applied to the consumption and the time period to determine your charges. You can see the tariff(s) at thetop of your bill.
For an energy meter your consumption is recorded in kilowatt hours (kWh). A rate applies per kWh you consume. There may also be a standing charge that applies for each day of the billing period.
For a water meter your consumption is generally recorded in meters cubed (m3). A rate applies per m3 you consume. There may also be a standing charge that applies for each day of the billing period.
Your bill will show your meter readings, your consumption and the charges that apply. Any standing charge will be detailed separately.
Different supplies (heat, chill and water) will be shown on separate lines on your bill.
